About Us
Our story...
In November of 2019 my family received a devastating diagnosis - one that would change life as we knew it forever. We would lose my mother to brain cancer just 13 months later. Seven short weeks after her passing we would also lose my father amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the weeks and months that followed, we began the emotional journey that would become the start of a new life and a new passion for helping. As death is the inevitable destination in this journey of life, we are sometimes unprepared for the tasks that lie ahead of us as we begin to reach this stage of life with our parents and loved ones - especially when it hits us out of the blue.
My parents had a long and loving relationship together over their 53-year marriage and they had accumulated many treasures during their life together. It became my job to organize and clean up their estate as our extended family were not local. As I slowly worked to bring order to the chaos, it became clear that there was a need in the community. I needed help. I needed help to clean, to sort, to haul off, to be there for vendor appointments, to find answers to emerging questions, and most of all I needed someone to compassionately support me through the hard days….
In the middle of the chaos Supported Solutions was born.
